Dr. Ahmad Shabana is a renowned Specialist Ophthalmologist based at Al Zahra Hospital Dubai, with nearly two decades of international experience in advanced eye care. He is celebrated for his precision, commitment to excellence, and compassionate approach to patient care. Trained in Egypt, Switzerland, and Spain, Dr. Shabana’s medical journey reflects both global expertise and a deep dedication to improving vision outcomes.

He completed his MBBCh from Cairo University and earned his Master’s degree in Ophthalmology from Al Azhar University, followed by advanced training at the Jules-Gonin Eye Hospital in Switzerland and the Instituto de Microcirugía Ocular (IMO) in Barcelona. He is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS Ed) and a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO), holding a subspecialty certification in glaucoma.

Dr. Shabana is credited with establishing Egypt’s first subspecialty glaucoma clinic, which became the country’s largest center for glaucoma care. He later brought his expertise to the UAE, where he performed groundbreaking surgeries — including the nation’s first glaucoma operation on a newborn. His work continues to set new benchmarks in ophthalmic excellence across the region.
